Did you know there are more than 285 living Saint Viator and Sacred Heart of Mary alumni couples? This Valentine’s Day, we are honored to celebrate just a few of the many Lions whose love stories began in our hallways.

Kathaleen Murphy ’12 & Joey Caputo ’12
Saint Viator sweethearts Joey and Kathaleen were married in July 2024 in Chicago. Their classmate, Danny Wolfe ’12, officiated the ceremony.

Katie Holsworth ’14 & Rich McLoughlin ’10
Rich and Katie celebrated their marriage in August 2024 in Charleston, South Carolina. Former Saint Viator lacrosse coach Bill Sanford officiated.

Emily Jarosz ’17 & Cole Kmet ’17
Emily and Cole exchanged vows on June 7, 2025, at St. James Church in Arlington Heights, with Fr. Dan Hall, C.S.V., presiding.

Elizabeth Riggle ’13 & Chris Myjak ’12
High school sweethearts Elizabeth and Chris were married in September 2023.

Molly Murphy ’15 & Mack Rooney ’15
Married on May 3, 2025, at St. James Church, Molly and Mack were joined by alumni spanning 15 graduating classes—a true Saint Viator celebration.

Amy Sroka ’07 & Chris Diviak ’08
Both members of the Saint Viator band, Amy asked Chris to Turnabout in 2007—and he said yes. They have been together ever since.

A Few More Love Stories Through the Years


Jonathan Metzinger ’04 & Olivia Spector ’04
Jonathan and Olivia met through shared classes, band, sports, and a close-knit group of friends. Though their paths took them in different directions after graduation—Jonathan playing professional soccer in England and Olivia attending Saint Louis University—they reconnected soon after and built a life together abroad. They spent eight years in England, welcomed their first son, Monroe, in Birmingham in 2015, and later moved to Orlando when Jonathan joined Major League Soccer. Their journey also included time in Scotland before settling in Atlanta, where Jonathan works for Atlanta United and Olivia serves as a Certified Lactation Counselor. They are parents to Monroe and Arden and remain closely connected to Saint Viator. Read more.
 

Kevin Hammarlund ’13 & Liz Graff ’13
Kevin and Liz met at a freshman football game in 2009 through mutual friends. They began dating their junior year, maintained their relationship through college, and were married in September 2022, surrounded by more than 40 fellow alumni, with Fr. Dan Hall presiding. Read more.
 

Bill Hake ’71 & Jean Sophie ’72
Bill and Jean first met in the summer of 1969. They were married on May 7, 1978, at St. Raymond’s, with approximately 40–45 Saint Viator and SHM alumni in attendance and Fr. Render celebrating their wedding Mass. Now longtime Colorado residents, they are proud parents of three sons and grandparents to four grandchildren, remaining closely connected to their Saint Viator and SHM friends. Read more.
 

Kenny Anderson ’89 & Jennifer Bonifacic ’89
Kenny and Jennifer first met in kindergarten and later reconnected at Saint Viator. Thirteen alumni attended their wedding, with seven serving in the wedding party. They live in Arlington Heights and are proud parents of four Saint Viator alumni. Jennifer serves in Saint Viator’s Dean’s Office, and the family remains deeply engaged in the life of the school—true Lions for Life. Read more.
 

Larissa Prociuk ’93 & Bill Miller ’93
Larissa and Bill met during their senior year through Spanish Club. Their first dates included ice skating and pancakes at Walker Brothers, and Bill famously left a rose in Larissa’s locker inviting her to prom—a keepsake she still treasures. They now live in North Carolina with their two sons and remain grateful for the foundation their Saint Viator years provided. Read more.
 

Thomas Delaney ’04 & Jaime Delaney ’04
Though they shared the same friend group all four years of high school, Thomas and Jaime like to joke that they barely spoke at the time. They reconnected after college and were later married, celebrating with nearly 40 Saint Viator alumni in attendance. Now back in Arlington Heights, they are raising two young children and remain closely connected to their Viator friends. Read more.

Hank and Megan met through mutual friends and reconnected at football games and school events.
