Incubator Program

The vision of Saint Viator High School is to be recognized as a Catholic, college preparatory high school where tradition and innovation meet. The INCubatoredu program is a key element of that vision, preparing students to think creatively and solve problems using professional business skills.

Saint Viator has partnered with the nonprofit organization, Uncharted Learning, to bring their very successful Entrepreneurship program known as INCubatoredu to the students of Saint Viator. In this program, students will create their own business and learn how to be entrepreneurs by developing skills in creative problem solving, critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork.

Learn More About Each Role

List of 4 items.

  • Coach

As a Coach, your role is to work with students in their class as you help them learn material you present through lectures and activities. You choose the lesson that aligns with your area of business expertise, e.g., marketing, finance, or sales. A lesson with presentations, student activities, and curated resources will be provided to you.
  • Mentor

As a mentor, your role is to facilitate learning, which is different than directly teaching. You will help students learn how to ask and find the answers to questions regarding their business idea. Mentors will meet with their student teams once a week for at least an hour. Some additional support will be needed before the Minimum Viable Product Pitch and the Final Pitch Night.
  • Board of Advisors Member (Sharks)

The Board of Advisors is a group of volunteer business professionals and entrepreneurs who offer strategic direction to student teams. These volunteers will be in the classroom two times during the school year: MVP Pitch and Final Pitch.
  • Community Champion

The Community Champion acts as a liaison between the school and local business communities. Coaches, mentors, and the Board of Advisors will view the Community Champion as a source of information regarding the school and the teacher. This person recruits, identifies, connects, and trains volunteers. Community champions can design and implement unique strategies that engage the business community.
