I proudly support the Saint Viator High School Backyard Project.

Saint Viator has always been a place where young people grow in mind, body, and spirit. This project continues that mission by providing safe, modern, on-campus athletic facilities that match the excellence already found in the school’s classrooms, arts, and faith-formation programs. More than 80% of students participate in athletics and activities, and they deserve facilities that help them learn, lead, and thrive.

The Backyard Project is more than a construction plan. It is an investment in students, in our community, and in the future of Catholic education. The new fields, track, and courts will strengthen student safety, reduce off-site travel, and create spaces where students build life-long skills, including character, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. These facilities will also serve as a resource for local elementary and middle schools, deepening Saint Viator’s role as a hub for community, fellowship, and faith.

Saint Viator has approached this project with transparency and care. The school has listened to neighbors, refined the plan to enhance compatibility, and worked closely with the Village throughout the Special-Use review process. Improvements to traffic operations, stormwater management, lighting, sound, landscaping, and safety reflect a genuine commitment to being a responsible and responsive neighbor.

This project honors Saint Viator’s mission and strengthens the broader Arlington Heights community. It supports student growth, enhances neighborhood safety and infrastructure, and ensures the school remains a beacon of excellence for generations to come.
