Academics Overview

Saint Viator High School is recognized as an exceptional institution where faith, innovation, and tradition meet. The rigorous coursework and passionate faculty empower students to become lifelong learners destined to transform the world around them.
We are unique in our approach to educating the whole person. We prepare students to excel in college and beyond through academic rigor, creative collaboration, and responsibility to oneself and others.

Educating The Whole Student

  • All classes are college preparatory, empowering all students to become lifelong learners making sound choices in a changing world.

  • Querbes Scholars are students of exceptional academic promise, intellectual curiosity, intrinsic motivation, and faith-based concern for others. The program provides opportunities that foster faith-based academic excellence, personal growth, dedication to service, and a lifelong love of learning.

  • Saint Viator admits students of all ability levels. Students with diagnosed learning differences will find help in the Scott R. Scanlan Learning Center, a resource room staffed with teachers who help students succeed in the college preparatory environment.

  • The curriculum supports collaboration, innovation, decision-making, and leadership development.

  • Honors courses are for students with a high aptitude in the subject who are willing to meet the challenge demanded by higher-level thinking skills. These courses move at a faster pace and students do more independent work, including coursework over the summer.

  • The Reverend Mark R. Francis, C.S.V. International Program provides a supportive environment that focuses on a student's needs and enables him or her to develop the cultural understanding and performance skills necessary to function appropriately and successfully in both academic and social situations.
