Alumni Business Spotlight: Canine Country Club of Barrington

As a lifelong animal lover, Amanda Orlowski ’08 had dreams of becoming a vet or a teacher. After teaching in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for eight years and learning about the enormous need for animal rescue, her passions shifted.
She began learning how to work with local animal rescues and has since rescued nearly 100 dogs and cats from the streets of Mexico. In November 2020, Amanda celebrated the opening of her first business, Canine Country Club of Barrington, a full-service dog business offering daycare, training, grooming, and boarding, where she gets to pursue her passion for working with animals.
“Each animal deserves the absolute best and will be treated as if they were my own when they visit Canine Country Club of Barrington.”
