Return-to-Learn Plan Update - October 16

Dear Saint Viator Families:

It is with great pleasure, excitement, and a measure of caution that we can confirm a return to in-person learning on Monday, October 19. Monday is a Navy day so please plan accordingly.

Reports from our school nurse are favorable so we look forward to seeing everyone back in class on Monday.

However, the news from the broader community is more grim as the number of cases, deaths, and the positivity rate have all been steadily climbing in recent weeks. We cannot stress strongly enough that your attention to preventing the spread when away from school will be a critical component to our ability to maintain in-person learning. The sacrifices and concessions required to meet this goal are shared by all - students, faculty, and staff - and all those with whom we come in contact.

If you experience any symptoms or come in close contact with someone who is or who has tested positive, you must quarantine for the health and safety of everyone. Remember, a pending case is considered positive until you are confirmed negative. This means that you need to quarantine until you have results. This quarantine applies to everyone in your household. Clear and prompt communication with our school nurse Pamela Kelly is essential.

Finally, please remember that eLearning remains an option for any student who chooses it. Should you choose the eLearning option, please complete this Learning Notification form. If you were enrolled in eLearning prior to October 5, you do not need to resubmit the form.

Have a safe and healthy weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone, with masks up, on Monday.

Stay safe and God Bless,
