  • Tennis - Boys Varsity

    2019 - 2020
    Head Coach: Amy Ritchie

Tennis is a no cut sport that focuses on developing individual skills while in a team atmosphere. Tennis focuses on the athletes foot work, agility, eye hand coordination, and mental toughness that translates well to other sports.  Athletes will have the opportunity to play singles and doubles format.  Practices will often include various drills focusing skill development, playing strategies and conditioning.  High level players on varsity will focus more on strategies and preparing for year end conference, sectional and state tournaments.  Junior varsity players focus on increased skill development and participate in a year end conference tournament.  As players abilities increase, they will have the ability to challenge other teammates for position spots throughout the season.

Boys Home matches and outdoor practices are held at Forestview Racquet Club after school Monday through Friday. Indoor practices are held 2-4 days a week at Forestview Racquet Club or Heritage Tennis Club.  Times and dates vary depending on court availability.
    Late February - Late May
Matches begin late March.  Invitationals/Tournaments are held most Saturdays throughout the season. State tournament is the last weekend of May
