Saint Viator International Program Seeks Host Families for 2022-23

For more than a decade, Saint Viator High School has served as host to the Reverend Mark R. Francis, CSV, International Program. Through this program, students from around the globe become a part of the Saint Viator student body. In the current school year,  we have 45 international students attending Saint Viator.

Each year we are approached by individuals or educational agencies looking to place international students at Saint Viator.  A critical component to the program is to identify host families for these students.

We are currently seeking local families that might be interested in hosting a student for the 2022-23 school year. You would host the student in your home from August through June, providing a room, meals, and transportation to school while welcoming this student into your family and family activities.

The benefits in hosting an international student are immeasurable for your family and the international student. A stipend for room and board of approximately $1,000 is paid directly to the host family each month. There is a local coordinator from the outside companies who assists with any issues students may have during their stay.

We require these students to show proof of medical and liability insurance and their parents are required to sign a release of liability for the host family and school.

International students applying to Saint Viator High School are required to demonstrate an above-average mastery of the English Language and, in general, are above average students. These students are admitted on F-1 visas, which means that their parents have demonstrated the ability to financially support their child while they attend a school in the U.S.

If you would like to host an international student in the future or would like more information please contact, Mr. Austin Bellino at abellino@saintviator.com. At this time, we have two international students seeking homes and anticipate more in the near future.
