Saint Viator High School is aware of recent news reports regarding a deeply troubling situation involving three Saint Viator alumni who have been charged with sexual assault in DuPage County. The alleged victim in this case is also a former Saint Viator student and classmate of the individuals involved.
This news is heartbreaking, and our prayers are with all those affected. We recognize that this information may evoke strong emotions within our community, especially during the Christmas season—a time when we reflect on peace, hope, and compassion.
While Saint Viator High School is not connected to the incident itself, we understand that our students may have questions or emotional responses. Please know that:
Counselors and administrators are prepared to support students who may be distressed or in need of someone to talk to.
Additional counseling resources will be available to any student seeking support.
Faculty have received guidance on responding with care and sensitivity and on avoiding speculation should questions arise in the classroom.
We ask for your partnership in reinforcing our shared commitment to a culture of respect, responsibility, and compassion, consistent with our Viatorian mission and values. If you or your child has concerns or would benefit from support, please reach out to a member of our leadership team.
During this holy season, let us keep all those impacted in our prayers and strive to be a source of comfort and strength for one another. We are grateful for the understanding and support of our Saint Viator community.
