Favorite Saint Viator memory:My trips to Tutweiler Mississippi with Betsy Fons, Br. Rob, and the campus ministry team. Assisting the students with building a home with Habitat for Humanity and supporting that amazing community was definitely a great memory. I remember how we supported the
Tutweiler quilters. I also remember on one of these trips our time in Memphis, the live band, and students enjoying it all. Coaching track and football provided great memories as well. I definitely remember working with coaches Kelly, Kirkpatrick, and Coach Smith. So many memories to name one specifically, but having the ability to work with students outside of just the classroom and to witness skills and abilities beyond academics was always rewarding to me.
The impact teaching at Saint Viator had on you: Huge impact! When Fr. Von Behren told me that wherever I go, I’m a Viatorian, that meant so much to me. The entire Viatorian community was so supportive and encouraging, I’ll never forget it.
What made Saint Viator unique:The greatest thing that makes Saint Viator unique is the students. Yes, Saint Viator is faith-based, and the opportunity to exercise my faith freely in my work environment was very special, but to see families of students go through my classes in the short time that I was there was very special. It shows that the parents are committed to their faith. Another thing is that Fr. Von Behren told me that I am always a Viatorian. That was very special to me, it definitely created a sense that I was valued there. Family involvement, seeing generations of students going through my classes was incredible! I feel blessed to have known many of the families that I did.

What you are doing now:
I am still working with the science education community, and have been since my departure from Saint Viator. Currently, I am a Regional Science Curriculum Specialist with
Lab-Aids. It is very satisfying to see districts of students using our curriculum and having a first-hand experience with science. I am also celebrating 26 years of marriage to my wife Donna, and father to John my 16-year-old son. I am also very active with my church, Saint Lawrence Catholic Church, here in Lawrenceville. I lecture and work with the RCIA team.
Message for former colleagues and students:Hope all of you are well. God Bless you and your Families!
