Celebrating 60 Years

Saint Viator High School opened its doors to two hundred twenty-five freshmen and sophomore boys on September 5 under the leadership of Fr. Francis Williams, CSV. The faculty was made up of 15 Viatorians and 3 laymen. While Sacred Heart of Mary was under construction, 140 girls began their first two years of high school in rooms at Saint Viator. History had begun.

In recent years, Saint Viator has received two Blue Ribbon Awards from the U.S. Department of Education; launched The Summer Work Study and Internship Program to assist families with financial need; was recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2015–2017, 2017-2019, and 2019-2022; earned the College Board AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles (CSP), and was ranked 1392nd in Newsweek's Top 5000 STEM Schools of 2020.

Saint Viator High School continues to be a Catholic, college-preparatory community of learning called to provide religious formation and an academic program of excellence to young men and women.  With 16,340 graduates from Saint Viator and Sacred Heart of Mary, we are excited for the next 60 years! Join us at the 60th Anniversary Block Party!
