Saint Viator Hosts Vocation Fair and Vocation Circles to Foster Discernment and Dialogue

In collaboration with the Clerics of Saint Viator, Saint Viator recently hosted a Vocation Fair and Vocation Circles, welcoming representatives from a wide range of religious communities to campus for a day of conversation, listening, and vocational discernment.

Seniors participated in Vocation Circles during their Theology classes - small-group conversations in which 6–8 students met with a religious sister, brother, or priest. Rather than a formal presentation or interview, these circles were designed as guided conversations, allowing students to ask questions, listen deeply, and reflect on real stories of faith, joy, challenge, and discernment. The experience invited seniors to consider vocation not simply as a career choice, but as a response to God’s call rooted in purpose, service, and relationship.

Juniors attended the Vocation Fair as part of their Theology curriculum, engaging representatives from multiple religious communities at informational booths. Students were encouraged to ask thoughtful questions about mission, community life, vows, ministry, and discernment. The fair was also open to all students, allowing walk-ins to stop by, listen to personal stories, and explore the Church’s many forms of service and witness.

Together, the Vocation Circles and Vocation Fair offered students multiple entry points into the Church’s understanding of vocation - through conversation, curiosity, and encounter - affirming that discernment is a lifelong process of listening, reflection, and faithful response.
