Angela Ferrazza joins the Saint Viator Leadership Team as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. In this newly created role, Ferrazza will create meaningful experiences to help students grow academically, personally, and professionally. She will work closely with families and the community to support, challenge, and celebrate each student as they chase whatever future they imagine. Additionally, Ferrazza will partner with the Leadership Team to navigate strategic planning initiatives, plan and execute capital campaigns, endowment programs, and scholarships. She will also help design and plan new opportunities to attract and retain students.
Held in high regard in her field, Ferrazza remarked, “I’m so excited to join the Saint Viator community as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. I’ve always been inspired by the school’s mission and the strong sense of purpose it brings to everything it does. With my background in building student-centered programs, community partnerships, and career pathways, this role feels like a natural fit. I can’t wait to get started and help create even more opportunities for our students."
Saint Viator Principal, Dr. Erika Mickelburgh, is “thrilled to work with Angela to develop a comprehensive internship program, connecting students to the expansive network of Saint Viator alumni and supporters. Her exceptional experience as a leader in career and college readiness is exactly what we need to launch an internship program that gives our graduates an advantage in college and career success. It is our goal to launch the internship program in the Summer of 2026!”
Ferrazza was most recently a Career Discovery Advisor for District 214, where she stewarded workforce-aligned placements, launched impactful programs including Internship Week, career mentoring, and industry spotlights with Apple, CDW, and Ford. Recently awarded the Those Who Excel Award from the Illinois State Board of Education and completion of an externship from the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition, Ferrazza also has a B.S. in Political Science from Arizona State University.
Many students, families, and administrators from District 214 wrote to Saint Viator after learning about her departure. Here are excerpts from just a couple of them:
Dear Friends at Saint Viator: I am writing to share my experience with Angela Ferrazza while she was employed at Hersey High School, and to let you know how lucky you are to have her join your staff! While I am sad to see her moving on from Hersey, I am happy she will be inspiring more students and families in her new endeavor! Again, you are so lucky to have her on your team. We considered her a big part of what made my kids enjoy their high school years. Fondly, parent of three Hersey students.
Dear President Aiello, We wanted to congratulate you on your recent hiring of Mrs. Angela Ferrazza. Angela is the perfect example of a person who is truly and genuinely in it for the betterment of the student. She is every person’s confidant, cheerleader, and champion. Her knowledge abounds, but on the rare occasion that she cannot readily answer a question, her resourcefulness shines through. Angela is resourceful because of the authentic connections she makes with everyone she meets. She is a gem of a human being, and Saint Viator is very blessed to have her on board. She really was the best of the best at Hersey. We could not be happier for Angela, nor could we be more excited for you and the Saint Viator community upon her hiring. You got a great one! All the best. |
“I’ve spent my career developing programs to give students real-world experience and connect them with mentors, internships, and leadership opportunities. I’m excited to bring that energy and innovation to Saint Viator. This role is all about building on the school’s strengths and finding new ways to help students stand out—not just on paper, but as people ready to lead and serve in the world. There’s something truly special about the way Saint Viator feels like a family, and I’m honored to be part of that."
Ferrazza and her family have lived in Arlington Heights for over 20 years. “We have three terrific kids, a very spoiled dog, and we love catching baseball games and traveling together whenever we can. Being part of a vibrant, connected community means a lot to us, and we’re so proud to call Saint Viator our home."
