    Mrs. Kathy Gallagher ‘Radiated Positivity’ in the Dean’s Office

    Officially, Mrs. Kathy Gallagher served as the Attendance Officer in the Dean’s Office. But in reality, she had a ready smile and genuine interest in the many students who stopped by her office throughout the day.

    Mrs. Gallagher retired this year after nearly 20 years in the building. She began in 2006 as a part-time greeter at the reception desk at the front door, long before it was known as security. She went full-time in 2009 as the attendance officer.

  • Science Department Prepares for a Future Without its Cornerstone

    Mrs. Majka began her teaching career in 1990 at Saint Viator and retired after 35 years in the Science Department. Over those years, she taught all levels of Physics, Physical Science, PhyChem, Earth Science, and Astronomy. She had been at Saint Viator so long that in her final years, she was teaching the children of her former students.

  • The Heart of the Language Wing: Signora Rullo Retires After 25 Years

    The foreign language wing looks to be quieter next year, with the retirement of Signora Mirella Rullo. She closed out a 25-year career at Saint Viator, which included starting the Italian program, teaching at all levels, including the AP section, and serving as department chair for the last 13 years.

    Her colleagues in the Modern World Languages Department all described Signora Rullo’s classes as “lively.”
