Class of 2023 Events

While we're just a few weeks in to the second semester, it is time to begin planning the year-end activities for our seniors and their parents. This preliminary view of our plans will hopefully provide you with some expectations for these important events. Please be aware that not all of the details are confirmed, but we still felt the information was important for you to have. We are dedicated to doing all we can to provide a wonderful culminating experience for our seniors.

Tentative Schedule of Senior Events

  • Saturday, March 18 - Cheers and Tears - 7:00PM  - Mount Prospect Golf Club
    • All senior parents are welcome to attend this casual evening sponsored by the Parents Club to connect with each other and share stories of your students from the last four years. Profits raised go to offsetting the costs of Senior Celebration and Prom.

  • Thursday, April 13 - Mandatory Senior Student Meeting - 2:45-3:15PM - Querbes Hall
    • Students will review end-of-year information and expectations.

  • Thursday, April 13 - Mandatory Senior Parent Meeting - 7:00PM - location TBD
    • End-of-year information pertaining to grades, service hours, and senior events will be covered at this meeting.

  • Saturday, April 22 - Senior Prom - 7:30-11:00PM - The Loews Hotel, Rosemont
    • PLEASE NOTE: Tickets will be on sale the week we return from Spring Break, April 10-13. We have to report a final number to the venue, so Thursday, April 13th is the FINAL day of sales.
    • Tickets will be between $100-$120 per person.

  • Thursday, April 27 - Senior Honors Night - 5:30PM
    • Achievement Awards are given out in academics, co-curriculars, and athletics. More information will be sent out closer to the date.

  • Friday, April 28 - Senior Service Deadline
    • All seniors should have completed and submitted their service hours.
    • Students who do not meet the service requirements will not be considered for exemption to final exams nor will they be able to participate in graduation.

  • Monday, May 1 - College Decision Day - 7:00AM
    • Seniors will organize their own celebratory breakfast tailgate and sport the gear of their college of choice all day!

  • Date TBD - Gown Distribution
    • Distribution will occur during lunches once the gowns arrive.
    • Students please fill out this form by Friday, February 10, so that we can order your gowns. You will keep the cap and gown after graduation.This cost is included in your tuition.

  • Friday, May 5  - Senior Celebration - 5:30-10:30PM - On campus
    • Seniors will enjoy an evening together filled with lots of laughter and fun. We thank the Parents Club for organizing this event.
    • Cost will depend on fundraising totals; we estimate about $20. 
    • A special part of this evening is the Senior Video. PARENTS, the video will highlight the students' time at Saint Viator. It is our intention to include ALL SENIORS but we need your help to gather photos. Please use this form to upload your photos. Directions for renaming your photos before uploading is included on the form. If you do not have a Gmail account to upload photos, please email your photos to 2023svhsvideo@gmail.com. The deadline to send in photos is Friday, March 24. Thank you!

  • May 8-12 - Senior Week
    • Dress-down days, treats, and fun to send our seniors off!

  • May 15-16 - Senior Final Exams
    • Click here to read the requirements for seniors for exemption from second semester final exams. 

  • Thursday, May 18 - Mandatory Graduation Practice for Students - Time TBD - Cahill Gymnasium
    • We will go over everything students need to know about Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation.

  • Friday, May 19 - Baccalaureate Mass - 7:00PM - Cahill Gymnasium
    • Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis. There will be no restrictions on the number of people in the group. We will update you if this changes.

  • Sunday, May 21 - Class of 2023 Graduation - 10:00AM - Cahill Gymnasium
    • Each student will receive 4 tickets per student.  
    • To return tickets you will not be using or to request extra tickets (very limited quantities), please contact Mrs. Cathy Abrahamian at 847-392-4050, ext 216.

Saint Viator High School

Located in Arlington Heights, IL, Saint Viator High School is a private, co-ed, Catholic school for grades 9-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
