Class of 2022 Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced

Christopher Rapala and Anthony Pluta have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of Saint Viator High School’s Class of 2022. These awards are determined by the highest cumulative GPA over four years. Anthony is graduating with a GPA of 4.82, and Christopher with the highest cumulative GPA of 4.83.

Prior to his four years at Saint Viator, Christopher attended Saint Margaret Mary elementary school in Algonquin. He plans to attend Northwestern University in the fall where he intends to pursue a career in fields related to chemistry.

While juggling various AP and honors courses, Christopher was heavily involved in Saint Viator’s theater program, participated on the academic team, where he competed at the state level, and also became an Eagle Scout.

A graduate of Saint Theresa Elementary School in Palatine, Anthony plans to attend the University of Arizona next year, where he will continue his athletic career on the school’s baseball team and plans to major in aerospace engineering.

Throughout his time at Saint Viator, Anthony played on the varsity baseball team each spring, participated in the science club, and was a Boy Scout. Both he and Christopher were also STEM students and members of Saint Viator’s Querbes Scholar program and National Honor Society.

Join us in congratulating both students on their achievements.
