Saint Viator Recognized with 2021 AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award

Saint Viator is proud to announce we have once again been recognized by the College Board with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award. After receiving this award the past two years for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles, we are thrilled to be honored this year for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science A (CSA).

This award acknowledges 1,020 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2020-21 school year. Saint Viator is one of only 199 schools, one of four schools in Illinois, as well, to be recognized for achieving this important result in AP CSA.

“Through your leadership in diversifying computer science education, you're preparing your female students for the high-paying, in-demand jobs of the future and giving them the opportunity to help solve some of society's most challenging problems,” said the College Board.

The College Board also recognized our work in reaching 50% or higher female representation in AP Computer Science Principles in 2021.
