DEI Student Advisory Group Gathers for RISE for Racial Equity Meeting

This week, members of our DEI Student Advisory Board, Morgan Trunda ’21, Mary Rittle ’23, Krystal Nava ’22, Carmela Martinez ’24, Camila Mora ’22, and Rishi Velumula ’21, met with neighboring Catholic high school students for the second RISE for Racial Equity meeting.

Together, the group discussed the challenges of racism in Catholic Schools and the vision for racial equity in Catholic schools.

They also are working on proposed solutions for dismantling racism in Catholic schools and creating a collective vision for racial equity. Next month, they will meet with Cardinal Cupich to share their insights.
