Celebrating 100 Days of In-Person Learning at Saint Viator

Today, March 11, 2021, marks our 100th day of in-person learning at Saint Viator this school year.

When we were forced to pause in-school classes almost a year ago, we didn’t imagine we would lose the remainder of that school year. Similarly, when we began this school year, there were many reasons to believe that in-school learning may not be sustainable. Nonetheless, through the cooperation from parents and students, we have accomplished what most other schools in the area could not; we established and maintained to the fullest extent possible, the optimal learning environment for our students.

As we recognize this milestone, we want to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved.
  • Our faculty has done an exemplary job of maintaining our commitment to academic excellence through curriculum development and daily instruction
  • Our school nurse, office staff, and deans have tracked attendance on a daily basis and created an extraordinary system of contact tracing in our community
  • Our building and grounds team, with the support of key alumni vendors, have created a clean and safe environment for us
  • Our athletics and fine arts departments have found creative ways to keep students active and involved
  • Our Campus Ministry team has never wavered in upholding our mission of faith-formation
  • Our counseling team has provided support for the mental and emotional challenges our students are facing, and kept them on track for their Saint Viator and college course and career goals
Of course, we also recognize our students' and parents' commitment to in-person learning, the concessions they have made, and the cooperation they have demonstrated during periods of continual change and challenging circumstances.

On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff at Saint Viator High School, we are grateful to all members of our community for their continued partnership in helping us achieve this important milestone.
