Fr. Dan Lydon '73 Announced as Next President of Saint Viator High School

At Tuesday’s Board of Trustee meeting, it was announced that the Viatorian Board of Governors has appointed Fr. Dan Lydon, CSV, to serve as the next President of Saint Viator High School. Fr. Lydon will assume his role July 1, 2021, but will work closely with current President Brian Liedlich in the coming months.

As some of you may know, Fr. Lydon is a Saint Viator graduate (‘73) and has formerly been on the faculty and served as Vice Principal. Fr. Lydon currently serves as Parochial Vicar at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Bourbonnais and is a Board of Trustee member at the Chicago Theological Union where he previously earned a doctorate in ministry.

We feel blessed to have someone of Fr. Lydon’s skill set available to us to assume this very important role. It is particularly reassuring to place an alumnus of the school in a position to guide our administration, faculty, staff, and students into the next era of providing faith formation and academic excellence.

Join us in welcoming Fr. Lydon back to Saint Viator.
