Saint Viator Welcomes New Dance Coach

Saint Viator High School has announced the hiring of Maggie Wiener as the new Head Coach for the Dance program. The announcement was made by Saint Viator Athletic Director Jason Kuffel.

“I am very pleased to welcome Maggie to Saint Viator,” Kuffel said. “She brings more than a decade of experience in coaching at Catholic schools in the Chicago area and I know she will uphold our commitment to the Viator Way in her work with our student athletes.”

Wiener has most recently served as the Head Dance Coach at Guerin College Prep High School. Her career also includes coaching experience at Saint Patrick High School and Robert Morris University.

“After the closure of my Alma Mater, Guerin Prep, I was looking for an opportunity at an institution dedicated to exceptional dance education and development that uphold my Catholic school upbringing and beliefs,” said Wiener. “Saint Viator has an outstanding reputation for athletics, academics and their commitment to being an inspiring community in which students are valued and educated as whole people. I’m very excited to get started.”

Wiener graduated with honors with a BA in Exercise Science – Community Recreation from Ripon College where she received Dean’s List recognition seven times and was an academic scholarship recipient. She was a three-year Dance Team Captain at Ripon.

“Maggie will be an excellent addition to our community,” said Kuffel. “She has had great success in resurrecting programs, as well as building on programs that are already thriving. I look forward to having her get started with our dance team.”
