Saint Viator to Close School from March 16 to April 3 in Response to COVID-19

In light of the ever-changing nature of the current coronavirus, COVID-19, Saint Viator High School will be closing the school from Monday, March 16, through Friday, April 3, with the expectation to resume classes on Monday, April 6.

While there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus at Saint Viator, we believe this is the time to take action, both as a precautionary measure and a means to slow the spread of this infectious disease.

Saint Viator’s eLearning protocol will go into effect beginning this coming Monday and continue through April 3, with the exception of spring break, March 23 to 27. There will be no co-curricular activities occurring during the closure, and no after school activities beginning Friday, March 13 (except for the ACT practice exam, which will occur at 3:00 p.m. on March 13).

If parents have general questions regarding eLearning, they can contact Mike Field at mfield@saintviator.com. For questions regarding a specific class, parents can email the teacher for that class directly.

During the school closure, our switchboard will not be staffed, but parents will be able to leave a phone message if they know the extension of the person they are calling. With our staff and faculty working remotely, email is the preferred means of communication. You can find the faculty and staff directory at https://www.saintviator.com/about/faculty-and-staff

We will continue to inform the community as we learn important updates regarding COVID-19 and any impact it may have on Saint Viator High School. Additional details can be found on  our home page or the coronavirus information page at www.saintviator.com/coronavirus.
