Saint Viator High School Holds Annual Entrance Exam for All Incoming Students

Saint Viator High School will hold its annual entrance exam, the High School Placement Test (HSPT), for 8th-grade students interested in attending the school. The exam, which is required for all new students, begins at 8 a.m. on Dec. 7, 2019, at 1213 East Oakton Street in Arlington Heights. Online registration prior to the exam is highly encouraged to expedite the check-in process, but families can also register and pay the $25 fee on the day of the exam. Families will find the link to register at www.saintviator.com.

“We welcome any students interested in taking the exam to reach out to us if they have any questions,” said Christine Bremner, cbremner@saintviator.com, director of enrollment. “We expect a great turnout and promising freshman class.”

All schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago administer the High School Placement Test written by Scholastic Testing Services (STS), which measures a student’s ability level and achievement levels in reading, mathematics, and language arts. The results of the exam help determine placement at Saint Viator, and students who score in the 98th or 99th percentile nationally on our administration of the entrance exam are awarded the Saint Viator Scholar Scholarship ($1,000 to $2,000) for their freshman year.
