Media Guidelines

Saint Viator High School is a Catholic, college preparatory community of learning called to provide religious formation and an academic program of excellence to young men and women. Saint Viator is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our students and all members of the Saint Viator community.

Saint Viator High School will make every reasonable effort to provide information that is a matter of public record to media outlets when and if it becomes available and is in compliance with State and Federal law.

Members of the media are not permitted on any Saint Viator High School property (including parking lots and bus loading/unloading zones) without the prior consent or invitation of the school’s President, Principal, or Director of Marketing and Communications.

Faces and recognizable images of a person under the age of 18 may not be published or broadcast without the written consent of a parent/guardian.

All requests for information to include, but not limited to interviews, photos, statements, and statistics, should be directed to the Director of Marketing and Communications, who will contact the appropriate spokesperson and/or provide public information when and if it is available.

In the event that any incident involves a formal investigation, Saint Viator High School will defer all comment to the investigating agency, including but not limited to, local, state and federal law enforcement, and fire departments. In addition, Saint Viator does not provide comment to the media regarding any active litigation.
