Alumni-Based Grants

Patrick M. Mahoney Alumni Grant — Up to $4,000 Established in 1988 by the Alumni Association to honor Patrick M. Mahoney for his continued dedication and service to Saint Viator High School. Awarded to an incoming freshman boy who has maintained a minimum “C” average in 7th and 8th grades, taken the Saint Viator Entrance Exam, and is the child of a Saint Viator or Sacred Heart of Mary alum. (one award/renewable) 

Sr. Columba Kavanagh Alumni Grant — Up to $4,000 Established by the alumnae of Sacred Heart of Mary High School in memory of Sister Columba, second Principal of Sacred Heart. Awarded to an incoming freshman girl who has maintained a minimum“C” average in 7th and 8th grades, taken the Saint Viator Entrance Exam, and is the child of a Saint Viator or Sacred Heart of Mary alum. (one award/renewable) 

James T. Bristol III Alumni Grant ’73 — Up to $4,000 Established by the Alumni Association in honor of James T. Bristol ’73, Erdmann Award winner and past President of the Alumni Association and Saint Viator Board of Trustees. Award considers academic abilities. Recipient must be a child of a Saint Viator or Sacred Heart of Mary alum. (one award/renewable) 

Rev. Robert J. Loftus Grant — $500 to $1,000 Established in 1995. Must be a student from St. Raymond Parish. (limited number/renewable)

Special Circumstances
Tim Halpin Memorial Grant — $1,000 to $2,000 Established in 2010 in loving memory of Timothy J. Halpin ’90 by his family, classmates, and friends. Awarded to a student whose family requires tuition assistance due to a job loss, death, illness, etc. (limited number/emergency grant)
