Log Your Hours

After joining your organization, be sure to categorize your service log within the correct organization, or multiple organizations at once, by checking the box next to the organization name and selecting the correct service category.

SO YOU’VE CREATED AN ACCOUNT, NOW WHAT?

Complete the following steps to log your service hours.

Step One

  1. Once you’ve created your user profile, scroll to the bottom and click on LOG YOUR HOURS.
  2. Next click ENTER SERVICE HOURS & LOCATIONS.

Step Two: Tell us about your service

  1. You will be taken to the LOG YOUR HOURS page.
  2. Select the date you served.
  3. Enter the total number of hours served.
  4. Then enter the service organization where you volunteered.
  5. Next you can select the category of service, MARGINALIZED, OTHER, or IN-HOUSE
  6. Then you will go to the text box and you will TELL YOUR STORY
  7. Here you will explain the service you did and why it was meaningful if this section is not filled in your service hours may be denied.

Step Three: Verify your service

  1. At the bottom of the page, you can verify your service in four different ways. You must complete at least two.
  2. Geo-Verify:
    1. Click ATTACH MY LOCATION while you are still at your service site and your physical location is attached to this log.
  3. Email Verification: Enter the name and email of the site supervisor you worked with while you were serving. They will be sent an email requesting verification and they can either approve or reject your hours. This person must have an email affiliated with the organization at which you are serving. No @gmail.com, @aol.com, @yahoo.com, etc. If you are unsure about anything, simply add a third form of verification.
  4. Photo Verification (see step 4 below)
  5. After you’ve chosen your form of verification, you will click SUBMIT HOURS.

Step Four: Review

  1. Here you will see a description of what you logged. This is where you can attach photos.
  2. If you are choosing Photo Verification:
    1. Click ATTACH PHOTOS and upload pics of you doing service.
    2. You MUST have permission to take photos from someone at the service site before you take them. These photos will be saved to your service log and shared with your friends!
  3. Finally, share to Social Media so that others will see the awesome work you are doing!
