Saint Viator Positivity Rate
The Saint Viator positivity rate is calculated by identifying the positivity rate for each of the 79 zip codes in which faculty, staff, and students reside. Those rates are weighted according to the number of faculty, staff, and students in each zip code. The weighted average is then calculated into a 7-day rolling average specific to our school community.

Travel Ban States requiring 14-day quarantine
The only states that do NOT require a high risk travel quarantine as of 12/1/2020 are Hawaii, Maine & Vermont. Travel to any other state will require a 14 day quarantine. (Updated 12/1/2020)
We rely on guidance from multiple sources including the Illinois Department of Public Health, Cook County Department of Public Health, Illinois State Board of Education, Archdiocese of the Chicago, and the CDC. Each of these has varying information that is updated routinely and each has varying degrees of clarity. The Archdiocese has the clearest guidelines regarding testing, travel, and additional guidance.
