Involvement at Career Day

Career Day will feature alumni and parents from various industries who will discuss their career paths, give advice and talk about their paths from graduation to employment. At the end of each session, students have an opportunity to ask questions.  We hope the students walk away with new ideas about practical steps they can take in their career searches as well as enthusiasm to pursue their passions with curiosity and drive.

This morning program is designed to expose our students to different career fields.  We ask that presenters be willing to speak to students in the classrooms for two 38 minute sessions in the morning between 9:07a.m. and 10:33a.m.  Students will select 2 sessions to attend and rotate.  You would give a brief background about yourself, how you found your career path, and anything you can speak on about your current career.  Make your session interactive by doing a game/activity to further describe elements of your career (ie. a marketer having students compare brands, recalling taglines, etc.)

Best of all, the alumni and parents who participate in this event with other professionals who will become part of your ongoing support system.  Now, more than ever, it’s important for our high school students to not only see the accomplishments of our community, but to also inspire each other to continue pursuing their passions.
