Q. What is it like going to Saint Viator?
A. The spiritual life at Saint Viator plays a major role in every day activities. Whether it’s an all-school Mass or simply saying a prayer before the start of a class, spiritual life at Saint Viator is strong.
Q. Who is your favorite teacher?
A. Fr. Corey made class fun and interactive and challenged us to get involved in issues of social justice. He is the reason I joined STAND (Students Taking Action Now for Darfur) to help raise awareness about the genocide and other atrocities going on in Darfur.
Q. You were instrumental in bringing the EKG testing to Saint Viator for all students. Why was this so important to you?
A. My mom showed me an article with the statistics of the number of students who die each year from undetected heart problems. After hearing about a student in Michigan who died last spring, I knew this was important. I first brought the idea to our principal, Mrs. Manno. She was so supportive of school-wide testing and really helped me bring this program to life.
Q. What three words best describe Saint Viator?
A. Changing, caring and dedication.
