  • . . . David Vitale ’13 upon earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
  • . . . members of the freshman-sophomore eight-person math team, who placed 10th at the state contest held in May at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They included Niall Stanczak ’15, Peter Wilson ’15, Taesik Won ’15, Lexie Glinos ’14, Haeun So ’14, James Son ’14 and Ye Min Hur ’14.
  • . . . to upperclassmen math students who helped take second place at the regional contest in February at Trinity University in Deerfield. Nina Byskosh ’14 led the team and was named first-place regional champion in the oralist division. Peter Glinos ’13 took first place on the calculator team, and junior-senior team members Patrick Crane ’13 and Joe Lorenzini ’13 took second place in the region.
  • . . . to Marilyn Stephen ’13, who earned a Discus Scholarship for her achievements in academics, community service and athletics -- and now is a finalist for a national all-around student scholarship.
  • . . . to members of the Poms team, who won first place over the summer at the Universal Dance Association camp. They earned the chance to perform at the national dance team championship in February at Disney World in Orlando.
  • . . . to poms captain Daniella DeBiase ’13, who was chosen as an All-American at the UDA poms camp. She was awarded a medal and given the opportunity to perform in the Orange Bowl and Thanksgiving Day parades.
