… Katie Anderson ’12 who created the cover art that will be used on the 2012 Viatome yearbook. Students in the fall semester Introduction to Adobe Photoshop were given the opportunity to create designs based on the yearbook theme: "Through a Lion’s Eyes." The yearbook staff considered nearly 50 entries and chose Katie’s as the one that best depicted the theme.

- … the Poms squad for their 1st place trophy in both the Poms Open Dance and Hip Hop categories in the IDTA regional competition on January 15 at Waubonsie Valley High School. Kelly Dunne ’13 received a “Rising Star” award for her performance on the team. This is the first of 5 competitions in 2012.

… to Saint Viator students, for their combined donation of $1,730 to SALUTE, Inc., which supports wounded military families. Students raised money during a “dress down day” timed with Veterans’ Day observances. Mary Beth Beiersdorf, co-founder of SALUTE, said the donation will benefit the family of a combat veteran, who suffers from traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress syndrome and consequently cannot work. “Thank you again for your Christ like attitude,” Beiersdorf wrote. “You are a true disciple of how God works through his disciples.”
