The Student Action Tribe provides students with opportunities to change the world so that it more closely resembles God’s reign of peace and justice. Students plan and implement projects to combat injustice after analyzing Catholic Social Teaching. In the past, students have organized projects to fight poverty, to stop bullying and harassment at school, and to stop the execution of a death row inmate seeking a new trial.

The Tribe also includes the student group STAND (Students Taking Action Now for Darfur), which has raised awareness of and protested against the genocide in Darfur, Sudan.

Homelessness
Sandy sleeps in a sleeping bag on the sidewalk in Berkley, California because it’s against the law to sleep in her car. She’s on the verge of mental illness from life on the streets. See her story below.
