Vocations

For the Viatorian, our life and religious model is Jesus.  To be religious men, we must not only know the Word of Christ, we must experience it and make it central in our lives.  Only after this are we able to lead others by teaching, preaching and celebrating our faith.  Our Formation Program challenges us to be men of faith and hope in a world where these virtues are often lacking.  We would like to invite you to consider your personal response to God’s call in your life.  One does this only after serious reflection and prayer.  We ask you to consider your goals, personality and what the Viatorian Community offers.  If you want to be more and give more, begin by contacting us.

We are here to support and help you to discern God’s call in your life.

Our Community
The Clerics of St. Viator are religious priests and brothers sent by the Catholic Church to teach the faith and proclaim Jesus Christ as Gospel.  In parishes, schools and a variety of ministries, Viatorians work with Christian communities to live, deepen and celebrate their faith.

We are a Roman Catholic religious community of priests and brothers.   We share community life as a witness to the Gospel and as support for us in our service with the people of God. Together with our lay associates, we keep the mission and vision of Father Querbes alive in the world.

We are an international community with provinces in Spain, Canada, the United States and Chile. There are also Viatorian foundations in Belize, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Colombia, the Ivory Coast, Haiti, Honduras, Japan, Peru and Taiwan. Viatorians continue to serve as a delegation in France.  Members of the United States province serve primarily in Illinois, Nevada and foundations in Colombia and Belize, with a number of men ministering in several other states.s

If you have been considering a religious vocation, but need more time and help in thinking it through, the Viatorian Contact Program may be of great benefit to you. A Possible First Step
